Born in Wellington, Antonia moved to Canberra as a toddler and began ballet as a four-year-old.
She trained at the Kim Harvey School of Dance before returning to Wellington in 2004 to attend the New Zealand School of Dance.
She joined the RNZB in 2007 and performed in Tutus On Tour 2007, Swan Lake and Cinderella. “Among several standout performances, Antonia Hewitt as the Fairy Godmother, who gave a lovely fluid rendition of Cinderella’s saviour, deserves special mention,” said The Press newspaper.
She has danced in Romeo & Juliet, Don Quixote and Tutus on Tour 2009 and La Sylphide – where the NBR hailed her performance as the Sylphide: “Antonia Hewitt’s dancing shone through with a lustrous richness.
