BIOGRAPHY

Susan Jaffe was born in 1962 in Washington DC. She studied at the Maryland School of Ballet, the School of American Ballet and the American Ballet Theatre School. She joined the American Ballet Theatre in 1980, and was promoted to principal in 1983. She stayed with ABT her entire career dancing all the leading ballerina roles. She also often appeared as an international guest artist.

Repertoire includes:
Anastasia, La Bayadère, Coppélia, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet, The Merry Widow, Don Quixote, Fall River Legend, The Nutcracker, Apollo, and Manon.
